Web design and branding in Lāhainā
We're in town. Websites, brand identity and Google listings for businesses on a main street that is still rebuilding.
Being in town changes the work. We can stand in your room, shoot it in the light it actually has, and check the site on the same street corner your customers are standing on.
Being findable again
For a business that has moved, reopened or changed its hours, the first problem is rarely the website. It is that the internet still has the old information. A listing that says permanently closed, an address that points somewhere else, hours from two seasons ago.
We fix that first: status, hours, photos and links corrected across Google, Yelp and Apple Maps, and kept consistent afterwards. It is usually the cheapest thing on the list and the one that moves the most.
Then the site
Once people can find you, the site has to do its job in about four seconds — what you are, where you are, and how to order or book. We build lean so it opens fast on a phone, and we shoot the room ourselves so it looks like your place rather than a template with someone else's food in it.
Brand work that survives a sign shop
A lot of Lāhainā businesses are rebuilding physically as well as digitally — new signage, new menus, a new room. That is the moment when brand identity earns its keep: one set of files that a printer, a sign shop and a website can all work from and get the same answer twice. We design the space too, when the project calls for it.
Spelling it properly
We write Lāhainā with the kahakō because that is correct. We also build the site so it is found by people who type Lahaina, because that is what visitors do. Both things are true at once and neither has to lose.
Work in town
Reopening, moving, or just tired of the old site?
Book a free 20-minute consult. We'll pull up your listing and your site while we talk and tell you what we'd fix first — even if that's one small thing.
Working with a studio in town
Are you actually based in Lāhainā?
Yes. The studio is in Lāhainā and most of our clients are within a short drive. It means we can come to you, shoot in your room, and see what a customer sees on the street.
We are reopening. What should we do first?
Your Google Business Profile, almost always. A reopening business that shows as permanently closed on Maps loses customers who would have walked in.
Hours, status, photos and a working link, corrected across Google, Yelp and Apple Maps. Then the website. We will tell you if the site can wait.
Can you work with the branding we already have?
Yes, and often that is the right call. Same logo, same colours, same menus — we build the site around what you already own. If we think something is holding it back we will say so once, then build what you asked for.
Do you write Lāhainā or Lahaina?
Both, deliberately. The ʻokina and kahakō are correct and we use them in the writing. But visitors search without them, so the site is built to be found either way. Getting the spelling right and getting found are not in conflict.
Do you work with businesses outside town?
Yes — Kāʻanapali, Kīhei, Wailuku and across the islands. Being in Lāhainā just means the businesses in town get us in the room more easily.
