How We WorkLāhainā, West Maui

One studio, as much or as little as you want.

Most businesses end up with a web person, a photographer, a designer, and whoever's posting on Instagram — and four versions of the same brand. We do all four, so the photos fit the site and the menus match the signage.

But plenty of our work is one job. If you just want a website, we'll build you a website — we're not going to tell you that you need a whole new logo first. Come for one thing, add the rest later or never.

What We DoPick one or all four

What we do

Four things, and they stand alone. Hire us for one, or for all of it — most people start with one and go from there.

01 — Build

Websites

Sites that load fast, look like you, and make it obvious how to book, order, or call.

Online ordering and delivery links, pages for events and catering, menus and hours you can edit yourself, and SEO fields you control page by page. Built to fit how much your team actually wants to manage.

Local SEO and Google Business Profile work come with it — the site and the listing are the same job, and for a walk-in business the listing is often what we'd fix first.

Care plans after launch keep it fast and current, and you'll know every month whether it's working, in plain language.

A website on its own is a perfectly good project. We'll work with the brand you've already got.

Websites
02 — Design

Branding & Design

Logos, color, type, and guidelines built for island businesses — the kind you can hand to a printer and a sign shop and get the same answer twice.

Menus, signage, print, and the visual system that carries the brand off the screen. We keep it all pointed the same way, and we design the space too — restaurants, studios, retail, hospitality — because the room is part of the brand.

03 — Shoot

Photo & Video

On-location shoots for restaurants, bars, salons, and retail. Food and drink, interiors, team portraits, and short-form video for social.

Shot to match your brand and delivered sized for your site, your menus, your Google profile, and your feed — so you're not cropping the same photo four different ways.

Photo & Video
04 — Run

Marketing

Social media for local businesses — content calendars, captions, posting, campaigns, giveaways. We shoot most of what we post, so the feed matches the site.

Google Business Profile setup and management so you turn up on Maps when someone nearby is looking. Reviews answered, photos added, hours and info kept the same across Google, Yelp, and Apple Maps.

You'll know every month whether it's working, in plain language.

No pitch deck, no pressure, and no upsell. We'll pull up your site and your Google listing while we talk and tell you what we'd fix first — even if that's one small thing.

About LeidbackLāhainā, Maui

We're a small creative studio in Lāhainā. We design websites, build brands, and run the marketing — sometimes all of it for one business, often just the one thing they came for. When the project needs photos, we shoot those too. Either way it ends up looking like you.

Maui web design that reads like your business, not a template

Island businesses lose customers in the same two places: a website nobody's touched since it launched, and a Google listing nobody's watching. We fix both. Every site we build for a West Maui restaurant, a Lāhainā salon, or a Kāʻanapali activity operator is designed around what a visitor actually does — check the menu, see the hours, tap to call, book a table.

We work across Maui, Oʻahu, Kauaʻi and Hawaiʻi Island, and we know what people search here. A Hawaii restaurant website designer has a different job than a mainland agency: menus change weekly, seasons swing hard, and half your traffic is someone standing on Front Street with a phone in their hand.

How It WorksFour steps

How it works

You've probably worked with someone who went quiet mid-build. Here's the whole thing, start to finish, so you know what happens and when.

01

Consult

A free 20-minute call. We look at your site, your Google listing and your competitors, then tell you what we'd fix first and what can wait.

02

Proposal & timeline

A written proposal with a fixed scope, a flat price and real dates — including what we need from you and when, so nothing stalls.

03

Design & build

Design first, then we build. You see it at two checkpoints. We handle the menus, the copy and the search setup along the way.

04

Launch & keep it running

We launch it, hand it to Google, and walk your team through editing it. Then a care plan keeps it fast and current if you want one.

QuestionsFAQ

Straight answers

How much does a website cost in Maui?

Every project is quoted after a consult, because a one-page site and a full restaurant site with online ordering aren't the same job. Most website projects start in the low thousands and scale from there. Book a consult and you'll get a written proposal with a fixed scope.

Can I hire you for just a website?

Yes, and lots of people do. We'll build the site around the brand you already have — same logo, same colors, same menus. If we think something's holding the site back we'll say so once, and then build what you asked for.

Same goes the other way: photos only, Google listing only, a logo only. One job is a normal job.

How long does a website take to build?

Four to eight weeks for most builds. A one-page site is quicker. A restaurant group with online ordering and events takes longer.

What usually sets the pace is how fast photos, menus and copy come back — so we set those dates with you at the start.

Do you work with businesses outside Maui?

Yes. We're in Lāhainā and we work across Oʻahu, Kauaʻi and Hawaiʻi Island. Shoots and space design need us in the room, so those are Maui-first unless travel is in the scope.

Can I update the site myself?

Yes. Menus, hours, events, staff, specials and the SEO fields are all yours to edit, through a content layer you can change without touching code.

You get a walkthrough at handover and a short screen recording to pass to new staff.

Will the site actually help us get found?

That's the point of it. Clean structure, real page titles and descriptions, local terms written the way people here actually search, and SEO fields you control page by page. We set up Google Search Console at launch so you can see what's landing.

For a walk-in business we'd usually get the Google Business Profile in order first, and we'll say so if that's the better spend.

What's included in a care plan?

Hosting, updates, backups, speed checks and small content changes each month. You'll also know every month whether it's working, in plain language.

It's the difference between a site that ages well and one that quietly breaks a year after launch.

Do you manage Google Business Profiles?

Yes — setup, verification and the ongoing work. Photos and posts on a schedule, replies to reviews, and hours and info kept the same across Google, Yelp and Apple Maps. For a walk-in business it's often the first thing we'd fix.

Do you shoot the photos and video?

We do, when a project calls for it. Food and drink, interiors, team portraits and short-form video for social — shot on location to match your brand and delivered sized for your site, your menus, your Google profile and your feed.
